En Punta del Este, Uruguay, del 7 al 10 de noviembre de 2006, con la asistencia de más de seiscientos setenta Notarios y Escribanos de Iberoamérica, se llevó a cabo la XII Jornada Notarial, declarada de interés nacional por el Poder Ejecutivo; de interés turístico por el Ministerio de Turismo y Deporte; de Interés departamental por la Junta Departamental de Maldonado y ?nalmente, Auspiciada por la Suprema Corte de Justicia y la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de la República. En ella participamos cuatro notarios del Estado de Jalisco.
